Getting Married at Christmas-a Romantic Wedding Idea

The Christmas holiday season is one of the most romantic times of year, second only to Valentine's Day. Many couples choose the Christmas season as the perfect time for their wedding. Everything is festive during Christmas, which adds to the feelings of romance and anticipation. There are so many Christmas wedding ideas you can use to make your day magical and beautiful.
First, you gotta have Christmas lights! Decorate your church or ceremony location with white lights and tulle - the perfect Christmas wedding idea for a snowy, romantic effect.

As you plan your reception, the first item on your list will be your cake. There are many ways to make a beautiful wedding cake that uses the Christmas theme. Christmas wedding cakes can carry decorative style that may symbolize the snowflake, details of Christmas tree decorations along with colors that are representative for this special holiday.

Place wreaths in the center of each table with a candle in the middle of them as table decorations. Hang wreaths at the end of a row of chairs. For an aromatic effect, choose pine smelling candles or another smell that you associate with Christmas.
If you have a lot of children attending your reception, arrange for a special visit from Santa Claus. Santa can give each child a candy cane and ask them what they want for Christmas. Make sure your photographer knows about this or have someone take a Polaroid of each child on Santa's lap.

After dinner, sing Christmas carols together. Make sure to have someone well-versed in Christmas carols available to play requests on the piano and have books available for your guests to sing from.
Finally, surprise your fiance by arranging for a horse- drawn sleigh to pick you up and whisk you away.
